Dr. Mark Barnett, a graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, is a board certified psychiatrist and is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
Dr. Barnett beleives that each patient is a unique individual with their own life experiences, outlooks and preferences for treatment. It takes time to get to know each patient, to understand each patient's goals for treatment and to establish rapport. Dr. Barnett spends time getting to know each patient at the firs t appointment and he spends time with each patient at every appintment. He is one of the psychiatrists that still believe in doing psychotherapy as opposed to 10 minute "medication managment".
